#3: "Fastaqim Kama Umirta"

Have you ever heard a conversation between football fans that goes:

" You know what, The Gunner is awesomee! They are on top of the table this season!"

but then his friend replied:

"To be on top of the table sure is awesome, but hey The Red Devils is the most awesomest! They played well and, on top of that, they maintained their position in top three of the table in every seasonn! And it is the only club that championed the EPL 20 times! That is Legendd---- wait for it-------- daryy!! Yeah #GGMU!"

Eh.

Forgive the overflowing excitement and bias-ness. #GGMU

Wait, what was the point again?

Yeah, the point here is, to win and be at the top sure is good and overwhelming. But will it be any good if it is only a one-off thing? Sure Arsenal is now faantastic and awesome and all. But what makes MU such a legendary club? (forgive me for using this example, couldn't think of any at the moment :p)

Because they maintained being constantly fantastic and wonderful!

That traits set the team different and extraordinary from the others.

Well, that reminds me to my alma mater's motto. It was a verse from Al-Quran:

"So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, [you] and those who have turned back with you [to Allah ], and do not transgress. Indeed, He is Seeing of what you do" [11:112]

No kidding. This is no ordinary school. The motto doesn't sound  "Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang" of that sort but THIS instead! A verse from Al Quran!

One thing about being good or do good deeds for that matter, it sure is easy for anyone to do it one-off. But to maintain doing it for the rest of your life? phew.  bukan senang komer weh.

And this includes avoid doing munkar as well. You improves today, you should continue improving tomorrow, the next day until forever. Not stopped and going backwards again. Thats not how it is supposed to be.

And until now, I admitted even after years I had left that school, I could hardly come close to what was transpired by this verse. "Remain on a right course as you have been commanded".

There is no easy way doing this. It needs a lot of courage and inner strength. Mujahadah.

p/s: I pray for myself to be given strength to commit to do this and to be able to be Istiqamah one day. And pray alone is not enough :)
